He Had Further Revelation!

The Christian community in general is always looking for the next bit of new revelation. They look to their pastors, TV evangelists, self proclaimed prophets and anyone else that might tickle their ear.

There will be prophecy that still needs to take place, but what about new or further revelation? Is it possible that God the Father has kept something back from us to reveal at a later time?

There was further revelation that has taken place, it was revealed by the Apostle Paul and most of Christendom misses it.

When Paul was testifying before King Agrippa about his Damascus Road encounter, by the way you won’t find this in Acts 9, he asked the voice “Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord replied.

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Acts 26:16

So the Lord is saying to Paul that you have seen some things today and there will be more in the future. According to this verse then what was revealed in MMLJ wasn’t all that there was.

Paul goes on to write in Romans, Ephesians and Colossians that this new revelation was kept secret since the world began.

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
Romans 16:25

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ
Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men
, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Ephesians 3:4-5

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Colossians 1:26

The things that were revealed to Paul about Christ were unsearchable in the Old Testament, which is all they had that was written.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Ephesians 3:8

This new revelation was also given to fulfil the word of God.

Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Colossians 1:25

If you attend a church and have never heard of the further revelation(Mystery) given to the Apostle Paul and think that the red letters are your doctrine today you are not alone. This further revelation has been missed, skipped over and misrepresented for centuries.

But to fully grasp it you must read and study the books written by our Apostle which are Romans through Philemon.

For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
Romans 11:13

Christ’s 2nd Baptism

Most of Christendom follows Jesus in water baptism, sometimes numerous times. Their understanding is that if Jesus did it I should too, and that is the only baptism that is necessary.

Christ mentioned that he was about to be baptized a second time to James and John, the sons of Zebedee in Mark 10:38 and to Peter and the Apostles in Luke 10:50.

But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
Mark 10:38

But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!
Luke 12:50

He wasn’t speaking about rededicating His life to the Father’s purpose with water again, it was about His upcoming death.

The word baptism in Scripture isn’t always about water.

John said that he baptizes with water but there are two more baptisms that are to come that Christ would perform.

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Matthew 3:11

Moses’ group was baptized in the cloud and in the sea.

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1 Corinthians 10:1-2

Paul speaks about being baptized into Christ’s death in Romans 6.
This is part of the mystery revealed to the Apostle of the Gentiles.

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:3-4

“Baptized into” is a key phrase here. How can anyone be baptized into Christ’s death with water. When He was baptized with water He hadn’t died yet.

In Ephesians Paul writes there is one baptism.

One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
Ephesians 4:5

Because of us being identified with His death we are now raised with Him through His resurrection.

Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Colossians 2:12

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Romans 6:5

Understanding this positional truth that we are baptized into his death gives us eternal life. What the death of Christ accomplished on our behalf and us being identified with it (baptized) is a far greater work than what any water can do.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 6:6-7
